Deer Prefer Acorns Feed
Deer prefer acorns over corn or any other deer feed. Why? Because acorns are high in Fat and Carbs. Even though Acorns aren't high in protein they are easy for the deer to eat so they will remain healthy because a deer will eat a lot of acorns if available. If you are baiting deer you want to use white oak acorns. Deer prefer White Oak Acorns over Red Oaks because White Oaks have less tannins than Red Oak Acorns. White Oaks don't have the sour acidy taste that Red Oaks do. Of course Acorns cost more than corn. Corn is a cheap feed for deer but it's not as healthy for deer as acorns are.
